Mooresville, NC (October 16, 2017)-Vinnie Miller, piloting the No. 66 Master Mfg Inc Bolen Motorsports in his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) debut, posted a seventh-place finish in the Oct. 14 Fred’s 250 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Miller placed the Chevrolet Silverado 24th on the starting grid for the 94-lap race on the 2.66-mile superspeedway.  Working with his spotter, the 20-year-old Michigan native was able to avoid the multiple crashes in the NCWTS event.  The Bolen Motorsports team played it safe keeping the rookie driver closer to the rear of the field to avoid the chaos on the track until the last stages of the race.

The race went into overtime and on the green-white-checkered flag restart Miller was in the 15th place and was able to avoid the last-lap crash, posting an impressive seventh-place finish in his first superspeedway race.

This will be Miller’s seventh top-ten finish in 13 starts this season in a combination of races in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE), ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards (ARCA), NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) and the NCWTS.

Additionally, this matches Bolen Motorsports’ best finish of seventh place for the small NCWTS team owned by Jeff Bolen.  (2017 – Martinsville Speedway – Ross Chastain)

“I can’t thank Bolen Motorsports for such a good truck this weekend,” Vinnie Miller said.  “It was definitely a lot of fun racing on a superspeedway and drafting.  Big props to my spotter this weekend, Rocky Ryan, for teaching me so much and being my eyes and ears on the track.  I wouldn’t have ended up with a top-10 finish without him.  We had good pit stops all day which helped with track position and being lucky helped us survive the wrecks.  Thank you to my family and Master Mfg., Inc. for their support to help me achieve my dream of racing in the top-tier NASCAR series.  From my first K&N (NKNPSE) race to the ARCA Series, the NXS race and the finale of my 2017 season in the NCWTS at Talladega they stood behind me all the way.  I am so fortunate for their support.”

To date there are no announcements on Vinnie’s 2018 race plans but we hope to have something by the end of November.
