Vinnie Miller piloting the No. 41 Master Mfg., Inc MDM Motorsports NASCAR K&N Pro Series race at Iowa Speedway was running in the ninth place when a tire went down with just eight laps remaining relegating him to a 26th place finish Friday night in the Casey’s General Store 150.
The 19-year-old driver had finished sixth at Iowa Speedway in the ARCA Racing Series (ARS) Presented by Menards Fans With Benefits 150 on July 8th. The NKNPS car didn’t cooperate as well during practice and qualifying putting Miller in the 19th place position on the starting grid.
Miller was able to advance during the 150 lap event, climbing to the high of seventh place in the East/West showdown on the 7/8-mile Newton, Iowa track. The Master Mfg., Inc team was set to score another top-10 finish when a right front tire went down forcing the team to pit, losing two laps finishing 26th.
Miller on Iowa: “Iowa Speedway is really fun place to race. I’ve enjoyed both my starts there this year. We struggled a little bit today but still had a top-10 car as the race wore on. We’ve had some bad luck these last couple of races but that doesn’t mean this team isn’t close to scoring a win. These cars are really fast right and a blast to drive. I really can’t thank everyone involved enough for the hard work. I’m having a lot of fun and I can’t wait to get back at it soon.”
The Casey’s General Store 150 will be broadcast on NBCSN August 3 at 7 p.m., ET.
