Gaffney, S.C. (February 21, 2018) – Coming off of his impressive top-20 finish in the season-opening race at Daytona, Vinnie Miller is excited to race his No. 01 JAS Expedited Trucking Chevrolet Camaro at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS). Saturday’s Rinnai 250 will be the first of many races in the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season in which the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 01 will be sporting the JAS Expedited Trucking red, white, and blue paint scheme.
This will be Miller’s first time racing AMS, but he hopes that momentum from his Daytona finish and help from his teammates will lead to a successful weekend.
“I’m really excited to race in the Xfinity Series at Atlanta this weekend,” said Miller. “It will be the first race with our sponsor JAS Expedited Trucking, and I am looking forward to driving the red, white, and blue JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Camaro! From what I’ve heard, Atlanta is a tough track and definitely a ‘Drivers’ track. I understand that saving my Goodyear tires will be bonus at the end of the race. I learned a ton from my teammates last weekend in Daytona, and honestly, I’ll be leaning on them a lot this weekend.”
The NASCAR Xfinity Series with practice is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying will start at 9:10 a.m. on Saturday, and the Rinnai 250 will get the green flag at 2:00 p.m. (ET) on FS1.
GAFFNEY, S.C. (February 19, 2018) – Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway was rookie driver Vinnie Miller’s first time racing at the “World Center of Racing.” Despite a few bumps in the road, Miller came home with a solid 20th place finish.
Miller qualified in 26th place position for the Powershares QQQ 300. The No. 01 Flex Glue Chevrolet Camaro was fast, and Miller was soon racing his way into the top-ten before being caught up in one of the many multi-car crashes. Quick work by the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller pit crew kept the car on track, and Miller raced around several more crashes to finish in the top-20.
“Wow, what an exciting weekend,” said Miller. “We had a rough start to the weekend in the No. 01 Flex Glue Camaro, but it got better once we started the race. I think the best we were running was 7th. We had a really good restart and we were starting to pick up positions then someone turned into us and we got wrecked. We came down pit road and the JD Motorsports pit crew was able to fix the damage. At that point, my team had worked so hard all weekend, I worked so hard and we weren’t going to quit, so we just kept digging. We ended with a decent finish in my first race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Daytona. 20th place was right where I said I wanted to be. I was approved to run Atlanta, and I can’t wait to get there Friday! Thank you to all my family and friends that came to see this me run my first race. Huge thanks to Flex Seal and JAS Expedited Trucking! I appreciate all of your support!”
Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the Rinnai 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on February 24th, 2018.
Gaffney, S.C. (February 14, 2018) – After a long winter, Vinnie Miller is eager to start his rookie season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in the season-opening PowerShares QQQ 300 at Daytona International Speedway. Flex Glue, the newest edition to the Flex Seal family of products, will be on board Miller’s No. 01 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet Camaro as the primary sponsor.
This will be Miller’s first time racing at Daytona International Speedway. Miller only has one other super speedway race under his belt, but it was a stand-out race at Talladega Superspeedway in which Miller finished 7th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series October race.
“I can’t wait to get down to Daytona to compete in my first NASCAR Xfinity Series race of the season,” said Miller. “I am super excited and super nervous at the same time. I have been out of the seat awhile and this will be my first time being back on the track. It will be a big learning curve. I know it will be similar to being at Talladega in the truck. It will be fun driving with veteran drivers who I know I will learn a ton from. I just want to learn as much as possible, have fun and try to bring home a solid finish for Flex Glue, JAS Expedited Trucking, and JD Motorsports.”
The NASCAR Xfinity Series with take over the track for the first time in 2018 on Friday with practice scheduled for 12:05 p.m. and 2:05 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying will start at 9:35 a.m. on Saturday, and the PowerShares QQQ 300 will get the green flag at 2:30 p.m. (ET) on FS1.
